TeamHealth has an opening for a full-time core faculty at the Sunrise Health GME Consortium Program in emergency medicine in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada! We are looking for bright and energetic physicians who have a passion for and skill in resident education. Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible in American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) and have successfully completed a fellowship or has experience in critical care, EMS, research, simulation, sports medicine, or ultrasound.

Sunrise Health trains residents at two major clinical sites: MountainView Hospital is the primary site - a community based level III trauma center in northwest Las Vegas with approximately 85,000 annual emergency department visits with high acuity and most major specialties. Sunrise Hospital is a large, urban, Level II trauma center just off the Las Vegas Strip with over 110,000 annual adult visits; it has all major specialties and is a regional Stroke Center. The residency uses a novel approach to classroom teaching and has a well-established simulation program in a state-of-the-art simulation center. We have an active ultrasound curriculum led by fellowship-trained faculty.

Sunrise Health is 4 years old and has maintained continuous accreditation by ACGME and received its 10-year accreditation on its last site visit. We organize the annual Southwest Regional Emergency Medicine Conference, attended by all of the residencies in the region. Our residency program benefits from strong institutional support and commitment, while our affiliation with the University of Nevada - School of Medicine (UNSOM) allows our residents access to the Savitt Medical Library and catalogue of online journals.
