General Surgeon

Summit Health is actively recruiting for a board eligible/board certified General Surgeon.

Summit Health includes more than 150 providers and 30 specialties and services providing care to over 50,000 attributed lives in Central Oregon and has launched the community's first full spectrum Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in 2022. Summit Health is Central Oregon's largest multispecialty group and is a for-profit, physician led practice with multiple locations in Bend, Redmond, and Sisters.

Summit Health is committed to maintaining a full-service surgical service line for our community in Central Oregon including a general surgery department with emphasis on foregut, colon and rectal, endocrine/thyroid, breast and surgical oncology. We provide the latest in surgery techniques, including advanced laparoscopy, the DaVinci Xi platform and leading-edge treatments for esophageal cases. Summit Health will further advance our group's mission of lowering the total cost of care for all patients in Central Oregon by continuing to offer and expand services throughout the community.

We are actively recruiting for a BE/BC General Surgeon to join our team. The surgeon will establish a general surgery practice in Bend and Redmond. There will also be an emphasis on hospital-based surgical care. Elective surgery (plus opportunity for endoscopy) is also a component of the position, with the option to perform surgery in the hospital or the multi-specialty ASC located conveniently across the street from our clinic. The candidate will cover emergency general surgery call for Summit Health patients one week per month in Bend, supporting and also sharing call with a group of five general surgeons and three APPs, each surgeon with 15+ years of experience. Our goal is to maintain the highest quality of care by offering the best in access, continuity, and cost of care to our patients.
