You're Part of Something Special
UHC is the heart of the North Central West Virginia community. Our Vision is to put every patient first, to take health and healing beyond the boundaries of imaginations so that we truly can create a patient experience that is second to none.
To better serve our community, a new hospital was built in 2010. The 728,000+ square foot structure rises eight stories. It is designed around the environment with the patient, family, staff and community in mind—which includes enhanced patient privacy, a high level of technology integration and improved access to care. The acute care facility has 292 private inpatient rooms, including a 20-bed intensive care unit and a skilled nursing unit. Our medical staff numbers approximately 250 highly skilled and compassionate physicians. A new tower was added to the campus footprint in 2022 that expanding surgical services and imaging, creates a new clinic space for OBGYN with easy access to our maternal and infant care center and houses a new local campus for the WVU School of Nursing.
