Overview:
Mercy Clinic is seeking a second trauma surgeon to join our group in Joplin, MO. This position is to join one experienced trauma surgeon and four general surgeons.
Mercy Hospital Joplin offers:
The hospital has 6 trauma bays, 11 state of the art ORs with a full scope of trauma and surgical equipment.
Approximately 800 annual trauma cases
Trauma/Acute Care Surgery only-no elective surgery
One week on/One week off schedule

Joplin, Missouri
Joplin is located in the southwestern corner of Missouri, in an area referred to as the "Four State Area" given its close proximity to communities in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Joplin has a population of approximately 50,000 and a daytime population of 240,000. The population within a 40-mile radius of Joplin is 400,000, making it Missouri's fourth largest metropolitan area.
